Pastor Deaton has been with Kenosha Family Church from the beginning as our founding pastor. After having pastored in the Church of the Nazarene in Michigan (Oscoda, Alpena, Sumner) for nearly twelve years, he moved to Kenosha in January 2000 to plant a new church. Ordained in 1990, his training includes a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary.  

In his spare time, Pastor Deaton enjoys writing and has been published in more than a dozen periodicals including: Decision, Group, Herald of Holiness (Now Holiness Today), Come Ye Apart, The Preacher's Magazine, Light and Life, and Church Administration. He has also written and self-published some e-books including a Christian novel titled, In Our Midst.

Pastor Deaton is married to Robin, and they have two adult children - Chelsie and Landon.
